Super Sick Boy :(

Last week Alex caught a cold - then the cold turned into the ear infection from hell :( We took him to the Pediatrician on Friday and got his antibiotic. By Monday he was still waking up with a 102 degree fever, and he was only out of bed for maybe 2-3 hours the entire day. So we took him back to the Ped., and she changed his antibiotic. Yesterday was the same thing, but at least he played a little bit during that time.  So far today he still has a fever (though it's 101 instead of 102 - I'll take it where I can get it), and he's back in bed for a nap without breakfast... Did I mention runny poo? ;P

So it's been a pretty terrible 5 or so days. Hopefully we're on the up-swing now.

Now for the pictures. I tried to be cool like Shelley and make a collage of photos from Wesley's party... Not quite as good as hers, but I think they turned out alright. I used www.scrapblog.com. Pretty cool little site with lots of options and quick cropping and editing. It's like a user friendly photoshop, kinda. My favorite things about it are the "snap to" grid that attaches the picture to the nearest grid line, the quick crop feature, and the ability to export to JPEG once you're finished.

First up, Wesley's birthday party:

(Don't worry Shelley, I have more I just didn't want to take TOO many liberties posting other people's images on the internet ;))

He has curly hair - and this is proof. It's actually a lot curlier than this, though :)

He LOVES to walk behind this thing all over the house... I have to turn it for him every couple of feet and help him over the "speed bump" (threshold) - He's super sick in this picture

Zoooooooom!
After walking with this one evening (before he got sick) he took 6 steps on his own :)

Daddy is so good at snuggling his sick boy

It breaks my heart when he wants to lay his head down the entire time he's awake.

Layton after he shoved the entire cupcake in his mouth ;)

He learned how to use a straw!
I'm super psyched I can use the Nuby straw sippy cups now (leak proof!)

We went to the park for my birthday and had a picnic  - despite the gale force winds

I love this picture :)

How you will see us anywhere we are ;)

oh the poor little thing, he does look ill. Its a tough job for a parent to see their baby not feel good and know what to do. Im sure you are just exhausted. He sure is sweet.. he looks even sweeter when he is sick.

Earlier this week Wesley was sitting in his high chair talking with me and im not kidding he LOOKED just like steven as a baby! It was weird!

Those collages look great! You did a nice job. I will check out the site for it too! You took some good photos for wesleys birthday. Thanks! I appreciate it SOO much.

He is MUCH better today. He actually ate breakfast and has spent some time playing - praise the Lord :)
I can't imagine Wesley looking like Steven - I think the dark hair throws it off in my mind.

I'm not as good with lighting as you are so some of the pictures are washed out, but overall they're "good enough". Next time you're in the area I have a cd burned and ready for you.
