And so it begins...

He was being so cute and lovey with me; taking a nap on my chest - even smiling from time to time (i know, i know, he doesn't 'know' he's smiling, but doggone it, he WAS smiling!). He was so peaceful and lovey - and then I realized it...

He pee'd on me.

And so it begins...

On a more serious note: He had a hearing check - doctor said he did perfect. :)

I also added a 'slideshow' of all the pictures on the website to the top right hand corner of the blog - you can click on a picture to get a bigger view (hopefully this will save people from having to scroll all around to find photos..)

I also changed the way comments work - you shouldn't need to 'register' or anything to post - just click the comments button to leave a comment; I check them frequently :)

Awesome story. You're holding your beautiful, smiling, heathly baby. You start to think how easy this parenting thing will be.

Alex was smiling because he just chalked up the first of many victories over pop.

This is such a lovely way to find out how everything is going plus it is a journal for Alex, so when he gets older he can read it; Better than a baby book;)
We are so proud of you and Jessica, keep up the good things you are doing for Alex:) What a wonderful God we serve;)

Don't be fooled by the smiles! Over half of the time the smile is directly tied into a straining muscular contraction (i.e. a bowel movement). ;-)
