Today we tried to get Alex used to his new environment - we also tested out his first gadget - the bouncer! We didn't have any batteries for it, so we did the old-fashioned manual power.
Alex had his first visitor at home today - GG (Great-Grandma-Shirley; Jessica's grandma) dropped by to say Hi to Alex.
We then had dinner with Alex - he watched us from his bouncer. He was so happy (look at that smile!) while we bounced him and ate some pasta.
After dinner, we gave him his first sponge-bath. He hated it at first, but by the end, he was quite content.
Alex and Jess are now sleeping; we'll see how well this first night goes. We are definitely more than a little nervous about the first night. We've armed ourselves with a baby monitor and some prayer and hopefully we can make it through the first night with no issues. We have a 10:40AM visit with Alex's pediatrician - Alex may also meet some more of his cousins tomorrow.

GG Shirley sent me the link to your blog. I will enjoy peeking in occasionally and seeing how you are doing. I miss you on Fridays. I am praising God for the beautiful baby boy with whom He has blessed you.
