Family Day

Just to catch up from the last blog..

Thursday, Jessica swapped out her other 'baby wrap' for a 'ring sling' (sounds fancy, huh?) I think it looks more 'elegant' than the last one...

Friday night Jessica and I went out by ourselves to celebrate Jessica's 21st birthday; GG and PaPa Bob watched Alex. Jess and I really enjoyed our evening alone together, and were really thankful for the free-babysitting (at least, we haven't gotten a bill yet ;)) We were all very tired after a long and fun evening out; for those wondering, jess and I went to O'Charleys (how special - we'll take what we can get!) and enjoyed a "Bermuda Breeze" beverage - no, she didn't get carded...apparently jessica looks "old" post child - go figure :)

So today we skipped any form of church (e-church or otherwise) and focused on exactly one thing: seeing TONS of family.

We started off visiting Wesley for the first time - they were both very excited to see each other (Alex on the left, Wesley on the right)

Ok, so they didn't really even acknowledge the other in any capacity, but Chris and i seemed to be pretty amused with our nephews...

A couple of side-by-side comparisons:

After visiting my parents, we headed to Layton's 1-year-old birthday party.

We enjoyd some finger-foods and cake - Layton enjoyed his cake more than others...

I guess we have less than a year before Alex immitates his cousin - yes, we are scared.
